Calista Flockhart Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart walked across Montana Avenue into the crowded Deborah Page Gallery at exactly 6 p.m. on Thursday. "Look at all the colors in that photograph," Calista Flockhart said to her son Liam, as she pointed to a large abstract portrait entitled "Ho Chunk Pow Wow II."
Ford gave the exhibiting artist a kiss on the cheek and ordered two glasses of 2002 Kelly Magee Meritage red winecabernet. "I wish there weren't so many people here tonight because I really love the artist and have enjoyed watching his work evolve over the years," Ford said. "I've seen him gain confidence, create a point of view and move from the learning part of photography to the running-free part.
Then he walked to a photo called Sonoma Rodeo III and slightly straightened it. "I've got to come back tomorrow to look at this all by myself," Ford mused as he headed to anoutdoors courtyard to sample hors d'oeuvres prepared by his son Ben, the owner of Ford's Filling Station in Culver City.
The artist behind the exhibit, who abandoned acting and L.A. more than a decade ago to become a photographer in the Napa Valley, took the kudos in stride. "I wish I could say that all of this talent is due to my older brother's influence," said Terence Ford, who was crashing at Harrison's place in Brentwood. "But this is personal work, and my slow-speed shots capture the colorful energy, vitality and tensions in the fast lane."
And when will he display his intimate shots of Harrison?
"I'd never show a picture of my brother to the public."

• • • New style for Calista Flockhart [dot] com • • •

Calista Flockhart Hey hey hey... I know it's been a long time since I last took the time to really *work* on the site but I was busy behind the scene with this new version. Sorry for the "BRB" page, btw, lol Now that we're back, you can see that some pages are still not there : that's because I need to change a few things in their codes, but don't worry, everything will be back online as soon as possible. I will also add screen captures of Calista Flockhart in the last episodes of Brothers And Sisters, and more.
On another note, I've noticed I'm receiving more & more mails from the visitors of this site, so please consider posting your requests in the forum if your message has nothing to do with the site itself. Thank you...
As for the affiliates, I will upload the page a bit later with new partners, I just need to check if all the sites are still linking us back. Which is usually a source of bad surprises. Hmm.

• • • Wobbly 'Brothers & Sisters' finds its footing • • •

No matter how deeply the producers of ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" plumb their dramatic imaginations, they might have a hard time topping the internal strife that permeated the set and the writers' room as the nighttime soap painfully found its footing. Before the show's Sept. 24 premiere, casting changes, reshoots and behind-the-scenes feuds seemed to spell doom for "Brothers & Sisters."
"All of the problems seemed to me almost insurmountable," said Jon Robin Baitz, the veteran playwright who created "Brothers & Sisters." But in the sort of unlikely twist you might see on an episode of the drama, "Brothers & Sisters," the show that could be thought of as a "thirtysomething" for the post-Sept. 11 era, hasn't failed; in fact, it's hung on to become a surprisingly resilient part of ABC's female-skewing Sunday night lineup.
Although it's nowhere near the hit that "Grey's Anatomy" was in that same slot last season, "Brothers & Sisters" is averaging about 13.2 million total viewers, according to figures from Nielsen Media Research, and seems to have built a loyal if not enormous fan base that sticks around after "Desperate Housewives." This is particularly significant given that both CBS and NBC rejiggered their Sunday lineups this season and are much more competitive on that night than they have been in years.

ABC executives last month ordered more episodes that will guarantee "Brothers & Sisters" at least a full first season - a critical hurdle for any new show. Equally important, the producers say, is that the series finally has found its way creatively.
In that respect, "Brothers & Sisters" could serve as a reminder to trigger-happy networks that even when faced with a deeply troubled show, sometimes it pays to, well, stay the course. Baitz's labor of love benefited from unstinting network support, not to mention a key assist from a veteran producer of family fare who just happened to be available when needed most.

"Brothers & Sisters" also benefits from standing apart from the pack of complicated, "serialized" dramas, such as "Smith" and "Six Degrees."
What ABC had in mind was a traditional, character-driven domestic drama, albeit with a contemporary feel. The ensemble's lead character, Calista Flockhart's Kitty, is a right-wing talk host who struggles with her family's conflicting views on terrorism and the U.S. wars in the Mideast. Softly lighted montages of family dinners and other happier events are spiked with songs by KT Tunstall and other pop artists. "We were looking to do a family show, but our version of a family show," ABC entertainment chief Steve McPherson said.
Ken Olin, an actor-turned-director who played Michael on "thirtysomething" and serves as an executive producer on "Brothers & Sisters," said: "It's been a while since there's been a show that people could watch and relate to on an intimate level. There is no high concept here. I don't think any of us think this is groundbreaking."

• • • 'Brothers & Sisters' adds Rob Lowe to cast as a love interest for Calista Flockhart • • •

Network TV hasn't been especially kind to Rob Lowe since he left "The West Wing" toward the end of that show's fourth season, but he's giving it another go, this time on a show that's already up and running.
Lowe has taken a recurring part on ABC's first-year drama "Brothers & Sisters." He'll play a Republican senator running for re-election and a love interest for Kitty Walker (Calista Flockhart) after he appears on her political talk show.
"He brings a maturity to the role on a show that's about people who are no longer kids," series creator Jon Robin Baitz tells Variety. Baitz wrote an episode of "The West Wing" while Lowe was still a regular and says he created the "Brothers & Sisters" character with the actor in mind.
Lowe is signed for six episodes of the show for the moment, with the possibility of more to follow.

Yesterday I took a couple of hours to install a new forum for the site. Click here to register. You will need to be a member to view the messages & of course to post. The people who had joined our previous message board will have to sign up again, I'm deeply sorry about this but there was nothing I could do to save our data base.
This is actually the first step of a big change, as I am currently working hard on revamping the site from A to Z. smile
